Just a recap, for anyone new around here, last month I got together with a group of local creatives, a group of photographers, bakers, calligraphers and other special event makers . Together we styled our own luxe rustic barn photoshoot right here in Washtenaw County, Michigan! Here's some of my absolute favorite shots from our photographer for this bog post- Alora Rachelle Photography! But really, I love them all- it was SO hard to choose which to include in this post. That bouquet... *sigh*Two weeks before Pantone announced its color duo (yes, DUO!) of the year for 2016, (Rose Quartz and Serenity) I created this lush textural feast. It combined two potential color palettes we'd discussed during planning meetings rather seamlessly. Lo, and behold the spot-on bouquet for an on-trend Michigan wedding. Over the sweetheart table, I created a hanging design. With a base of pinot grigio grape root, and overlayed with draping fragrant winter evergreens. I suspended from this, several clear glass votive cups for a little extra candlelight and ambiance. I had fun with all the details, too. From the range of fun boutonierres housed in my boutbox, a former cigar box, to the floral selected for the headppiece. I used every opportunity to express richness and warmth through texture and color. Alora's great use of light! I really could just post them all- every single swoon worthy one! So thankful to have been a part of such a fun, collaborative photoshoot with an engaging and sincere couple and such talented event professionals.
